Our words cannot begin to describe our truly devoted mom, grandma and friend, Constance (Connie) Fornwald, 80, of Temperance, Michigan, who was called to heaven on Thursday, August 9th, 2018. Mom was born in Ann Arbor, Michigan on July 29th, 1938 to Floyd and Cleo Wood. She was in the first graduating class of Ann Arbor Pioneer High School. Mom went on to work for the county and was eventually appointed Deputy Clerk of Washtenaw County. She married her “ Sugar”, Larry Fornwald on August 10th 1963 and they began a family and moved to Temperance, Michigan in 1968 and enjoyed almost 50 years of marriage. Mom loved her church, Our Lady of Mt. Carmel, her friends, bingo and the casino! She and dad loved to travel including their favorite Aruba, numerous cruises, Alaska and Europe. She loved to shop and had an eye for fashion in clothes and home décor. Mom is preceded in death by our dad, Larry, her parents and brother Eugene Wood. She is survived by her brother John Wood (Sandy), her sons Scott, Matt (Lisa), Chad (Jennifer), nine grandchildren and step-grandchildren Cameron, Courtney, Cole, Sierra, Corbin, Addison, Hudson, Zachary and Morgan and too many wonderful friends to name. Visitation will be from 2-8 pm Monday, August 13, 2018 at the Michael W. Pawlak Funeral Home, 1640 Smith Rd. (at Jackman) Temperance, Mi, where scripture service will be held Monday at 6 pm.
